WHAT'S ON THE WAY
Upcoming Features — Update!
The next URef update brings new tools for organizing references, taking notes, sketching ideas and working with 3D models. Here is a look at what is on the way.
ORGANIZE
- Group objects with G or the right-click menu, then move, scale and rotate them together.
- Ungroup without changing positions or sizes.
- Press C to frame your selection with a light gray, 50% opacity background and a white title ready to type. Press Enter to confirm; double-click the title to edit.
- Groups save with your board and stay independent when duplicated.
WRITE
- Resizable blank sheets with a subtle paper texture. Paste text as a notebook note or a blank sheet.
- Paper fits the text automatically while preserving line breaks.
- Numbered lists, bullet points and interactive checklists. Check an item to add a green checkmark and cross out its text; click again to reopen it.
- Format selected lines or the current line. Empty lines stay clear of list markers. Enter continues a list; Enter on an empty item ends it.
- A floating toolbar follows your note as you move or zoom. Double-click to edit, with improved copy and paste.
SKETCH
- Adjustable Pencil stabilization smooths shaky strokes.
- Build drawings from multiple strokes, then press Enter to finish and return to selection.
- Drawings on notes, sticky notes and blank sheets become part of the paper.
- Erase sections of strokes without erasing the paper or its text. Pencil and Eraser are available in the top toolbar.
- An optional Windows Ink setting is available in Settings.
COMPOSE
- Press K for the Knife tool. A dashed preview shows the cut; crossing the entire image splits it into separate pieces.
- Hold Shift to snap the cutting angle in 45° increments.
- Triangle and star shapes join rectangles and circles.
- New shapes use your interface accent color and retain that color when you change themes.
EXPLORE IN 3D
- Lasso masks hide parts of the 3D viewport without turning the model into a static image.
- A mask preview helps inspect visible and hidden areas.
- Improved detection of FBX textures.
- Manually load a Base Color / Albedo texture from the 3D panel.
FEEL AT HOME
- Creation tools organized into Shapes, Writing and Framing, with easier-to-find tool-specific controls.
- Numeric values alongside sliders. Ctrl + E opens Export.
- Confirmation before closing Settings with unsaved changes.
- Improvements to Windows startup and installation updates.
- Match PS expanded to follow Photoshop canvas rotation.
Free update for existing URef owners.
